GTDW August Trade Intelligence Newsletter

News & intelligence on safe, smart and secure cross border trade & investment for donors, governments, multilaterals, academia, enterprise & technologies

As Covid continues to dominate international trade headlines in August we have seen a resulting move forward in the speed of tradetech digitalization and implementation which are encouraging signs. Trade intelligence supports a paradigm shift in consumer behavior with a significant rise in e-commerce that is defining the 'New Normal' and opportunities for supply chain & logistics with a boom in the home based economy. Increasing issues related to US-China Trade War, new intra regional tariffs and 'Special Tariff Actions' are creating concerns for manufacturers to keep pace with customs and compliance environments for import and export. Implementation of new Free Trade Agreements offer fresh opportunities for FDI and cross border trade in some of the areas that can benefit most. Thanks for following GTDW and feel free to connect.
