Advancing Gender-driven FDI in APAC: Bridging Borders, Building Opportunities

We are proud to announce the significant contribution of KW Group's co-founder, Michelle Wong at the recent United Nations ESCAP #FeministFinanceForum 2024, where she led a brainstorming session with leading Investment Promotion Agencies, business leaders, and financial institutions.

Entitled “Bridging Borders, Building Opportunities: Advancing Gender-driven FDI,” the session was expertly moderated by Michelle Wong, co-founder of KW Group APAC FDI Advisory 💼👩‍💼 focused on strategies to attract and support investments that contribute to gender equality and emphasized the necessity of gender-responsive policies for economic growth and empowerment. 🌐🤝

Furthermore, on May 8th, a significant achievement of the forum was the presentation of a pledge, led by the United Nations ESCAP and FDI Center, amongst investment promotion agencies, economic development boards, and ministries of investment to advance gender equity in FDI. 💰♀  This pledge represents a commitment from our organization and its partners to prioritize gender considerations in investment decisions, aspiring to establish a new paradigm for gender-conscious foreign direct investment. 📜✨ 

The initial signatories included Invest in Canada | Investir au Canada, Investment Fiji, Invest Bhutan, Department of Industry, Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), BOI Sri Lanka, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). We recognise these organizations for leading the transformation. 🏆🎉
